Hollywood Creative Directory: 58th EditionTo me, the Hollywood Creative Directory is like breathing; I couldn’t function professionally without it.I use it to check who’s doing what, where they can be located, how they can be contacted, who’s on their staff, how to correctly spell their names, etc. etc.

In fact, to paraphrase a famous saying– “If there were no Hollywood Creative Directory we’d have had to invent one!”

Review of Hollywood Creative Directory, 59th Edition (Paperback)

Hollywood Creative Directory, 59th EditionThis is an expensive book, especially when you consider that most of the companies listed say “no unsolicited screenplays” or “submission through agent or lawyer only.”
The contacts are listed but I doubt it will help anybody.

Review of Hollywood Creative Directory, 60th Edition (Paperback)

November 1st, 2009 No comments

Hollywood Creative Directory, 60th EditionOkay, take it from an insider (I was an agent in Hollywood for 11 years), this is THE book agents and producers and directors and industry execs look at everyday to get the numbers to call who they need to call. It is updated quarterly and you bet people buy the latest edition as it comes out. And WOW, it’s now available for the public to buy?? That is a huge little known secret. If you’ve been lucky enough to happen up this and you have a script to sell or you’re wanting to know where to write producers, directors, execs and even some movie stars who have production companies that look no further than this manual! It is an understantment to say it is definitely worth the price.

Review of Hollywood Creative Directory, 64th Edition (Paperback)

Hollywood Creative Directory, 64th EditionThe Hollywood Creative Directory is a very handy book for anyone who has completed a screenplay and wants to try and sell it to a production company. As a working screen writer, screenwriting instructor and story analyst for production companies, I know how confusing it can be for writers who wish to market and sell their finished screenplays.
The Hollywood Creative Directory saves a lot of time researching producers who may be interested in your screenplay. Most listings in the book give an idea of what kind of films the production company makes, what they are looking for and what form of submission they prefer.
Purchasing the book on Amazon does save you quite a bit of money and headache ( tried Buy[...] , receive damaged books and a hard time getting replacements, will never use them again).
The Hollywood Creative Directory isn’t for the casual writer dabbling in screenplay writing, but if you are serious about selling you completed screenplay then this may be an important part of your marketing plan.
