You do not have to be a professional writer to earn money writing articles. Anyone can do it. Article writing can help you generate consistent passive income, month after month after month. If you really love to write you can actually make a decent living from your house.

1. Write Articles for Revenue Sharing Sites – Many websites, such as eHow and Bukisa, share the revenues earned by submitted articles with the authors. Make a list of five things that you know how to do well. Create five short articles for each of these ideas and post them to eHow and Bukisa.
2. Build backlinks – Everyone wants their articles to show up on the first few pages of Google’s search results. If you want to earn money writing articles, you need to get people to actually read them. Once you have created these 25 articles, make comments on 25 blogs that somehow relate to your article. When you go to post your comment, submit the URL of your article instead of your website or blog. Ensure that your comment adds to discussion, otherwise it may be perceived as spam. When you leave comments on other people’s blogs, you can actually make google believe that your article in more important.
3. Promote Affiliate Products – Have you used a product or service that you absolutely loved in the past few months? Did you see if they have an affiliate program? If so, you can earn money writing articles by promoting these products. Some article directories do not allow you to directly link to your affiliates’ websites. Currently, eHow and Bukisa do allow you to link to them.
4. Write for Others – Many people try to make money writing articles only to learn that the do not really have the ability to write as well as they would like. In many cases, English may be their second language and they struggle with grammar. You can earn money writing articles for them. I would, however, recommend this only as a last resort. Why write for someone else when you can make money on the internet by writing articles for yourself?
